A Study of Foreign Language Teachers’ TPACK Structure

  • A survey of 65 college English teachers in Gansu was conducted using TPACK scale developed by Schmidt & Mishra (2009) and Sahin(2011). The results show that the mean score of TPACK falls into medium level with PCK the highest one and TK the lowest one; there is a significant difference between male and female teachers on TK and TCK dimensions; the education background has positive impact on CK, PK and PCK level; there is a positive correlation between the professional title and the four dimensions, CK, PK, TPK and TPACK. Based on the results, this research hopes to provide theoretical and practical guidance.
