Through lexis of positive reaction and valuation, The Straits Times portrays overwhelming support for One Belt One Road Initiative.

Investigations of the older generation of migrant workers on E subway construction site shows that under the huge family livelihood pressures and the structural relationships between city and country, capital and labor, state and citizen, the older generation of migrant workers in the workplace chose subsistence ethics as their daily strategies and action principles, which was performed in the way of ordinary subordination to the workplace’s control system. However, when their economic interests were threatened, the older generation of migrant workers would take the identity of themselves as their weapon, which strengthened their identity along with the achievements of their resistance. TENG Ai-yun
2018, 34(1): 46-50.
Abstract(430) PDF(9)
Abstract:
A Pale View of Hills is a famous novel written by the British contemporary Japanese novelist Ishiguro Kazuo. The narrative of the novel is not reliable. Previous studies on the unreliable narration of novels are based on the unreliable narration theory of Booth, which explains the relationship between the narrator and the author. This kind of interpretation is slightly partial. Phelan’s theory increases the reader’s dimension in unreliable narration, which can be divided into two types: contract unreliable narration and alienation unreliable narration. On this basis, the paper analyzes the dynamic process of the narrator, the author and the reader in the two types unreliable narration, and explains the important significance of unreliable narration to novels’ theme expressions.

Abstract(355) PDF(4)
Abstract:
As an imitation of Liao Zhai Zhi Yi, the writing method, describing object and creative type of Song Yin Man Lu are all imitating, using the method of legend novel to describe the images of the ghosts and the spirits. But different from the way of pointing the status of the protagonists at the very beginning in Liao Zhai Zhi Yi, Wang Tao often conceals the special status of the protagonists. He emphasizes their human nature as women, and fades the characteristics of the ghosts and the goblins, which embodies the trend of the decomposition of the ghosts and fox spirits in the modern classical novels. The reason of the change mainly lies in the different living circumstances and cultural experiences. The western learning that Wang tao had got when translated the western books at missionary press, and the roaming world experiences made him not to believe in the existence of the ghosts and the spirits any more.

WANG Xiao-yu
2018, 34(1): 75-78.
Abstract(403) PDF(7)
Abstract:
“Tong Bian” is not the original idea of Liu Xie, is based on the previous generation of resources and generated by the opportunity of the times. The “Tong” by Liu Xie is to know the meaning of “Ti”; “Bian” refers to the change of specific works and the question of the diversification of “Yong”. It is not to say that the relationship of “Tong Bian” is completely equal to “Ti Yong”. “Relying on affections to achieve continuity, relying on qi to move to mutation” is a creative idea of “Tong Bian”, that means “Tong Bian” is not only the question about literary creation, but the more extended to the talent and spirit of an individual.

ZHOU Jian
2018, 34(1): 95-100.
Abstract(351) PDF(3)
Abstract:
The construction of Peace China needs the support of Gongan culture. But for a long time, Gongan culture has been simplified to the spiritual culture formed around the public security organs and police. This paper deconstructs Gongan culture into two related categories of the public safety culture and the police subculture based on the broad connotation of culture. The public safety culture has both the negative and the positive. The police subculture has the functions of marking, shaping, cohesive and demonstrating. The construction of Gongan culture can be achieved from the following two perspectives. First, we should cultivate public safety culture from content, subject and means to realize active participation of all citizens. Second, we should enhance order productivity of the police subculture through system, implements and behaviors as a guide. The two categories of Gongan culture are indispensable. They promote the realization of Peace China together.
