The Diversified Development Trend and Transdisciplinarity of Ecolinguistics: The New Ecolinguistic Thinking of Prof.Andrew Goatly and Prof.Stephen Cowley

    Abstract
  • This paper introduces the series of lectures about ecolinguistics held by National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education, Beijing Foreign Studies University from October 9 to October 24, 2018.Professor Andrew Goatly from Lingnan University and Professor Stephen Cowley from University of Southern Denmark give ten lectures mainly from three perspectives:the diversified development trend,multidiscipline conflation and the study of ecological discourse analysis.In the lectures,it is shown that the multidiscipline conflation is the manifestation of transdisciplinarity and gives the direction of the diversified development of ecolinguistics.By prospecting the future of ecolinguistics,the lectures conform to the trend of discipline development and reflect some new thinking of ecolinguists.
