Abstract

This paper is an interview with Andrew Goatly, who is honorary professor of English College at Lingnan University.His research interests include eco-critical discourse analysis, metaphor, stylistics, language humour, etc.He has such representative works as The Language of Metaphors, Washing the Brain:Metaphor and Hidden Ideology, Explorations in Stylistics, and Meaning and Humour.This interview involves issues about the disciplinary nature of ecolinguistics, "green grammar", ecostylistics, etc.
