Zhan Antai compiled the first textbook of “History of Chinese Literature” revised by Education Ministry, taking the study of The Book of Songs and Sao as academic basis and combining ideology with characteristics of theory at that time.The article,focusing on the practice and concept of “History of Chinese Literature” compiled by Zhan Antai,studies his achievent and the theoretical features shown by his book, then sums up a reasonable concept of literature history.
