Abstract

Abstract

The construction of the external discourse communication system of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is a crucial component of the initiative as a whole and a key aspect of building a diplomatic discourse system with Chinese characteristics. Currently, the challenges resulting from the overseas publicity of the BRI discourse are becoming increasingly prominent. Based on the facts of international discourse, this paper examines in detail the reality of the Belt and Road initiative in the communication of foreign discourse. Moreover, it comprehensively analyzes the discourse challenges the BRI faces and proposes a series of countermeasures and strategies on the content, subjects, means, methods, and technologies of relevant discourse communication. It aims to actively promote the overall construction of the external discourse communication system of the BRI.
