  • A great deal of our knowledge is knowledge about objects and noun phrases by which we typically refer to them play a vital role in our verbal communication. This paper examines the relationships between (1) noun phrases and objects, and (2) objects and the organization of knowledge. It also touches on the problem of quantifiers, and the issues of representing knowledge and reasoning in natural language.
