In the period of Wuxu Movement (1898), Liang Qichao had had a primary understanding of occidental historiography.In his early historiographical ideas are reflected the historical evolutionary ideas, world history viewpoint and ‘civilian history’ ideas contained in modern occidental academic culture, and some new historiographical ideas in occidental history books.
