Abstract

Abstract

From October 31 to November 1, 2020, the 17th Symposium on English-Chinese Discourse Analysis was successfully held in Beijing Foreign Studies University. The 15 keynote speakers discussed issues about “English-Chinese Discourse Analysis in the New Era”, which fully demonstrated the latest achievements and future trends of domestic discourse analysis research in the new era. The young scholars' forum also provided opportunities for young scholars to blend academic ideas and broaden their research horizons. This symposium focuses on integration, innovation and development, which points out the direction for the further development of the theory of English and Chinese discourse analysis and the further promotion of the research results.
