Localization of Systemic Functional Linguistics: Review on Applied Studies at the 21st Symposium on Functional Linguistics and Discourse Analysis

  • This paper gives a brief introduction to applied studies at the 21st Symposium on Functional Linguistics and Discourse Analysis held in Beijing Foreign Studies University from Nov. 1 to Nov. 2, 2017. In the forum, eight keynote speakers discuss how Functional Linguistics is applied to discourse analysis, language teaching and translation studies. Their studies promote the development of localization of Functional Linguistics, and provide paradigms for solving issues on Chinese research.
