    Abstract
  • “Appliability” has been the goal of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). The development of SFL has proved that SFL can provide theoretical perspective and methodology for interpreting many linguistic phenomena. Starting with some key notions in SFL, this paper proves the great applicability of SFL in evidential studies. The study indicates SFL has opened new ways to examine evidentiality comprehensively and systematically by providing theoretical support and multi-dimentional perspectives.
