ZHAO Jing
2020, 36(1): 30-38.
Abstract(474) PDF(11)
Abstract:
Based on systemic functional linguistics, translation can be regarded as source-text meaning oriented re-instantiation.By analyzing 213 examples of title translation in Xi Jinping's The Governance of China, this paper explores how the meaning of the target discourse is reconstructed in the process of re-instantiation.It is found that the translators have employed certain translation strategies and techniques to re-construct the meaning and re-generate the discourse, including regulating commitment, adjusting appraisal meanings, omitting rhetorical devices, and shifting coupling patterns.Highlighting the target readers' awareness, the translators choose appropriate lexical and grammatical expressions to conform to the linguistic norms and features of the target language, and accomplish interlingual re-instantiation.All the shifts and transformations in this process are aimed to improve the acceptance of the translation in the target readers and aid its smooth international communication.

FENG Fei-peng, BIAN Zi-quan
2020, 36(1): 73-86.
Abstract(215) PDF(4)
Abstract:
Government's tax has an important impact on industrial development, but few empirical studies provide empirical evidence on the impact of corporate income tax on industrial development.Hence, the relationship between enterprise income tax and the growth rate of enterprise sales income, using the sample of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen during the 12th Five-Year Plan period(2011-2015), will be studied to test the potential effect of government economic measures on industrial development.Statistical tests show that the increase of tax burden has an inhibiting effect on the growth rate of sales revenue;and higher tax burden has a higher inhibiting effect than lower tax burden.Besides, the inhibiting effect on lower revenue enterprises is stronger than higher revenue enterprises.Further research showes that the possible channels of inhibiting the growth rate of sales revenue are presented as follow:when the tax burden increases, the growth rate of sales revenue of products(projects)with the largest proportion is substantially affected by the increase of tax burden, and the growth rate of sales revenue of products(projects)with the largest proportion substantially affects the overall growth rate of sales revenue of enterprises. The growth rate, through the interaction between the increase of tax burden and the growth rate of the products(projects)sales revenue of with the largest proportion, will have a inhibiting effect on the overall growth rate of sales revenue of the enterprise. The new insights and empirical evidence are provided for government decision-making departments to deal with the relationship between tax revenue and industrial development.

YANG Yu-feng
2020, 36(1): 112-118.
Abstract(294) PDF(1)
Abstract:
In the Tang Dynasty, most of the local governors were literati who came from the imperial examinations. When the literati work in local area, they not only moved from the government to the countryside, but also spread the literature. Therefore, the relationship between local governors and literature can be studied from two aspects:the creation of local governor and the construction of local cultural ecology. In the selection process of local governors, literary ability is one of the factors considered by the court. The exchange between central government posts and local governors is also an important criterion for officials selection and appointment.Local governors play a great role in the construction of local cultural ecology.First of all, in the process of administration, local governors carry out the national cultural and educational policies concretely, which has great influence and direct decision-making power on local scholars' study and official progress.Secondly, some local governors themselves are accomplished writers. When they take part in the literary activities of the prefecture, they attract and agglomerate a large number of literati and enrich the literary world scene.Thirdly, as the governor's governor, he chanted the landscape and scenery of the local prefectures with poems to publicize the reputation of the prefectures, thereby completing the promotion of classics and literariness. At the same time of shaping the local cultural ecology, the local governors also achieved his own achievements and literary names.
