On the Distortion of the Historical Truth in Discovery of Panzhihua Iron Mine——On Mr. Liu Qinghua's Writings

The discovery of Panzhihua Iron Mine has a special significance for the construction of the southwest heavy industry base in 1960s in China, for the development of national multi metal industry, and for the construction and development of Panzhihua city. The study finds that the historical truth of discovery of Panzhihua Iron Mine has been distorted over the years, and the relationship between the real representatives and the discoverers based on the literature and the evidence has been reversed as well. The main responsibility for the distortion of history, the main ideas and methods, are summarized systematically in the paper. The position and role of the two main characters in the process are compared and evaluated. And our own point of view is put forward.
