Abstract

Abstract

This thesis brought forward the elenchus on the popular musical concept that music is just an expression of the conceptive content. The anthor has studied music character istic by analyzing from musical practice and semantics reviewing to indicate what the essence of music is. This thesis has also given its analysis of one of the reasons to emphasize that music has a conceptive content is using the traditional methods to define and determine music esthetics is continuingly prevailing in China. Based on those aspects' analysis, the writer put forward her understanding and viewpoint:The beauty of music is within its score's flowing. Compared with other forms of art, the beauty within music bears more characteristics of universality and purity.
