Abstract

The socialist political system of China in 1950^th had two essential features: the absolute leadership of the Communist Party of China over the government and highly centralized state power. Under this political system, the 1950s saw not only the spread of democracy and efficiency in China but also such disadvantages as failure to distinguish between party and government and highly centralized state power.
