  • Since twentieth century, the competition between the enterprises becomes more and more intense.For any enterprise, the most important issue is to obtain and maintain its own competitive advantage.Barney proposed the concept of strategic resources with four characteristics: value, scarcity, inimitability and defective substitutability in 1991.In 1994, Wright, et al pointed out that the human resources satisfy the four indices of strategic resources.Therefore, the management of human resources is certainly the most important element in a firm.This study discusses the problems of the salary system in the Chinese-style management of human resources based on the western classical theory concerned.
