Abstract

Abstract

According Zuo Zhuan, State Wu attacked State Chu in the forth year of Zhao Gong, and occupied Ji, Li and Ma cities.Among them, City Ma, or Ma Yi, has been called Xiangcheng, Anyang and Macheng.The paper attempts to prove that Jiang Yong's view point about Macheng more conforms to the historical reality, and puts forward a new view on the geographical position of the ancient State Jiu Zi and the name of Macheng.
