Abstract

Abstract

The devils, a kind of factors that hamper Xiuxing in the Buddhist dharma refer to both mental disorders and the personification of Prince of the Devils. Starting with the characteristics of the devils, the devils' residence and the method of vanquishing the devils, this thesis analyzes the novel's feature in the visual field of the Buddhist culture, reveals the religious affection in The Journey West in the givin historical conditions.
