Presence of God——An Analysis on the Role of God in the Thoughts of Locke

Abstract

Abstract

Having analyzed some basic ideas of John Locke, the article argues that God plays a very important role in his thoughts. It is God's creation and enabling man the rational ability that makes man carry out various social activities. And because they are all created by God, all human beings are born free and equal. Guaranteed by God, Locke starts his theory safely. Besides, the article points out that although all social fields derive from God, Locke stresses the separation of them for the peace of society.
