Analysis on Ethical Compromise of Administrative Behavior——A Critical and Constructive Perspective

  • Ethical compromise of administrative behavior is a temporary choice of the lower value behaviors in which the administrative subject who confronts the choice space of value is constrained by pressure.Its harm is mainly in the following four aspects: denying the administrator's virtue, destroying the normal organizational institution, creating a negative organizational culture, and lowering the legality of the public administration.The reasons of ethical compromise of administrative behavior include administrative ethical dilemma as objective realities, restrictions from superiors and organization, and the lack of ethical decision-making skills of administrators.To eliminate ethical compromise of administrative behavior, we should model the transcendence identities, establish the moralized institution, take the systematic and effective remedial measures, improve the ethical decision-making skills of administrators and build an ethical environment.
