Abstract

Abstract

Zhang Ailing's Small Reunion is a family history,and also a personal autobiography.The relationship between Sheng Jiuli and Shao Zhiyong is complex,even the author cannot tell.Explicit and implicit processes are very helpful in analyzing the emotions between the hero and the heroine.Explicit process is about two people from the acquaintance, to falling in love, getting married and breaking up,while the implicit process is about the contradictions and conflicts between the hero and heroine.The implicit process debunks Shao Zhiyong is false, sexual abuse, coward and selfish, his harems, making use of women, and his official identity in the puppet government are the causes of trouble in their marriage.The novel is obscure and complicated,and the implicit process is the key of understanding of the novel.
