2021, 37(5): 478-486.
Abstract(423) HTML (237) PDF(103)
Abstract:
Xi Jinping’s outlook on talents scientifically answered a series of theoretical and practical questions about the party’s talent work in the new era. A comprehensive perspective on it from the three dimensions of connotation, logic and practice is conducive to accurately grasping the theoretical essence and core of Xi Jinping’s outlook on talents. From the perspective of connotation, the basic connotation of Xi Jinping’s concept of talents is to adhere to the principle of the party’s management of talents, gather talents from all over the world and use them, and build a modern talented country. From the perspective of logic, theoretical logic, historical logic and realistic logic are the logical ways in which Xi Jinping’s outlook on talents is generated. From a practical perspective: take the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education as the main line, improve the system and mechanism of talent development; take the strategy of strengthening the country with talents as the command, and create a new situation in talent work; focus on innovation-driven development, and take the road of independent innovation; take the opportunity of building a culturally strong country to create a good environment for talent work is an effective way to fully implement Xi Jinping’s views of talents in the new era.

GUAN Yue
2021, 37(5): 499-510.
Abstract(977) HTML (976) PDF(91)
Abstract:
In recent years, multimodal discourse analysis has become a hot topic in the study of linguistics. Speech video is a typical dynamic multimodal discourse. This paper adopts modal density foreground-background continuum as methodological framework and ELAN multimodal analysis software as the modal annotation tool. According to multimodal interaction analysis theory proposed by Norris, this paper analyzes the role of each communicative mode in the construction of this speech information and the interactive mechanism between these modes in a TED educational speech video. It is found that modal intensity and modal density of each communicative mode in the problem introduction part, problem posing part, problem analysis part and problem solving part of this speech video are different. Spoken language and other communicative modes show the relationship of reinforcement, complementarity and juxtaposition, thereby jointly constructing the meaning of multimodal interaction.

ZHAO Jing, HE Zhong-qing
2021, 37(5): 518-525.
Abstract(821) HTML (500) PDF(68)
Abstract:
Based on the cognitive mapping of conceptual metaphor in cognitive linguistics, this study takes the example of the translation of 211 political metaphors in Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, explores the translation methods in correspondence to different cognitive mapping, and expounds the regularities in the translation of political metaphors. It has been found that after translation the cognitive mapping of the concept domain in political metaphors can be divided into three kinds: mapping matching, mapping missing and mapping transferring. Mapping matching corresponds to literal translation, mapping missing corresponds to interpretative translation and omission, and mapping transferring corresponds to loan translation. Among them, literal translation, which realizes the cognitive mapping matching, is the dominant one among all the translation methods, showing the translators’ discourse confidence in international publicity translation. Metaphor translation is a cognitive process based on translators’ cultural embodiment. The translation in this book displays a tendency of returning to the source culture, preserving the cognitive mapping of the original metaphor as much as possible. It helps in reproducing the discourse style of Xi Jinping and gaining more international support.

LI Xiao-hua, TANG Qing-ye
2021, 37(5): 534-542.
Abstract(487) HTML (2032) PDF(154)
Abstract:
Multimodal translation is becoming a hot area of translation studies. Based on literature from CNKI, the visualization tool Citespace is employed to examine the status quo of its domestic research. It is found that although there is an upsurge of the research, its late appearance has led to insufficient attention from the academia and fragmented studies with depth and breadth to advance. Besides, there exist other problems, such as singular research perspective, oblique definitions of terms, and similar research content, methodology and findings. Specifically, there are insufficient publications, which are mostly published on common journals, and there is also a lack of journals and scholars dedicated to the research domain; most research focuses on the characteristics and impacts of multimodality in translation practice or translation teaching, especially on subtitle translation of films from the perspective of multimodal discourse analysis theories. In view of the problems, the study offers some specific suggestions with a hope of drawing more attention from scholars to promote multimodal translation studies and better serve the construction of China’s international communication.

Legal Adjustment of Investor Protection in Compulsory Delisting-From the Perspective of CSISC Shareholding Exercise
LI Xin-tian, WANG Cheng-hong
2021, 37(5): 543-552.
Abstract(478) HTML (403) PDF(27)
Abstract:
In line with the reform of the registration system for stock issuance, China’s delisting system is steadily advancing in the direction of “normalization”. In the process of establishing a normalized delisting mechanism, the mandatory delisting system is clearly the focus of reform at the national regulatory level, and has shown a trend of refinement. However, China’s initiatives on investor protection in the delisting system are lacking and have become a shortcoming that hinders the healthy development of the capital market. In the specific environment of high speculative nature, high turnover rate and many individual investors in China’s capital market, the system mainly composed of early compensation and share buyback is not enough to effectively protect small and medium-sized investors and boost market confidence. In view of this, in the process of improving the mandatory delisting system, the role of CSI Investment Service with unique Chinese characteristics in investor protection should be given full play, with its bonding function between private law enforcement and public regulation as the main line, using the right to collect rights, negotiate agreements, apply for mediation, file lawsuits and other rights granted by the Securities Law, in order to reduce the cost of small and medium-sized investors to defend their rights and strengthen the effect of investor rights protection.

ZHENG Rui-kun, SUN Chao
2021, 37(5): 553-559.
Abstract(350) HTML (692) PDF(43)
Abstract:
The Idle funds held by minority stockholders of public companies are important sources of funds in the securities market, so it is of great practical significance to strengthen the protection of their interests. In practice, the abuse of dominant position by the controlling stockholders of public companies and the defects in corporate governance structure lead to frequent infringement of the rights and interests of minority stockholders, and the defects of the justiciable clauses in the company law bring obstacles for minority stockholders of public companies to seek relief. Based on this, the paper puts forward some ideas on the protection of the rights and interests of minority stockholders in public companies from three aspects: endowing the controlling stockholder with the duty of good faith and strengthening the director’s duty of loyalty, improving the voting mechanism and cumulative voting system and other governance structure, and improving the system of flaws decision litigation and stockholder representative litigation, so as to enrich the relevant theory and practice of the protection of the rights and interests of minority stockholders in public companies.

LIN Yang-qian
2021, 37(5): 576-582.
Abstract(492) HTML (2851) PDF(111)
Abstract:
While promoting the development of social material life, big data technology will also become ideologically oriented due to social trends, public opinion and psychological stereotypes, resulting in the negative impact of “Digital Leviathan”. It has three forms: one is the decline of individual rational status under statisticalism, the other is the segregation of social value under data monopoly, and the third is the damage to national security under the trend of data centralization. In order to effectively govern the need for multiple measures, first of all to enhance the sense of security as the premise, restore the nature of technology; secondly, to enhance the sense of gain as a means to meet the needs of the people; finally, to promote happiness as the goal, to promote social progress.
