Abstract

Abstract

This paper makes a good study of one of the four debates in the dialectic field in 1980s——the debate on the finite or infinite of the universe.The study inspects the cause of the debate, makes an analysis of the differences and arguments on the two parties in detail, and finally gives a summary and the author's reflection, showing that the debate has a close relation with the emancipation of mind in 1980s, and promoting the emancipation effectively.
