Abstract

Abstract

Interlanguage variation is an important part of second language acquisition, and is crucial to our understanding of the dynamic process of second language development. Chinese researchers have studied interlanguage variation since the 1990s. This paper reviews both the theoretical and the empirical development of interlanguage variation in China and points out the main problems in the current studies.
