Abstract

Abstract

“After the Journey to the West” is a profound novel reflecting the decline of human civilization.The novel tells a story of a Buddhist's seeking the real Buddhism.It jeers and criticizes the Confucian of the mainstream which persecutes Buddhism.It opens out that the social foundation of the persecution to the Buddhism is the corrupt Buddhists, and all the psychological causes of the pressure and the clash of the different cultures is human's selfishness.
