Ruined City based on cultural poetics, the present paper is entitled to the characteristics of interdisciplinary thinking and prominent innovation of research, which is why it is effective in revealing the complexity, richness and artistic appeal of this great literary work of Jia Pingwa, and in broadening the thinking and academic space of translatology as well.It is held in the paper that, in the translation process, only by adhering to the ideology of cultural poetics, will it be likely to reproduce the aesthetic nature, the cultural identity and the poetic features of the original work.
