Abstract

Abstract

In this age of globalization, the university education need to step up to its responsibilities for training of the feelings of humanities and national identity of students, and it is an effective means to carry out the classic reading in the process of teaching.The students’intimacy of the Chinese traditional culture has been enhanced through the reading of classics.This study shows that the reading of classics can be promoted in two ways:offering the independent public elective course of “Classic Reading”on the one hand;and adding the contents concerned in the major courses on the other hand.
