“Why” and “How” of Education Digitalization: An Explanation Based on “ Wuli-Shili-Renli” System Approach

  • Education digitalization has become a new breakthrough for the high-quality development of education in China. From the perspective of human-machine relationship, it is confirmed that education digitalization is a new situation of human-machine collaboration in the education and teaching process. Based on the systematic methodology perspective of “Wuli-Shili-Renli”, the driving forces behind the development of education digitalization include: From the “Wuli” perspective, objective factors such as the rapid development of the digital economy, the improvement of digital infrastructure, the ideological concepts of traditional Chinese culture, and the alignment with the needs of educational development; From the “Shili” perspective, the national digital strategy, the construction of educational governance system, and the progress of science and technology have an impact on the development of education digitalization; From a “Renli” perspective, the harmony of human-machine relationships and the support of government departments and social organizations promote the development of education digitalization. Finally, the path of sustainable development of education digitalization is discussed from several aspects, including infrastructure construction, achieving human-machine collaboration, enhancing digital literacy, and transforming learning methods.
