Abstract

Abstract

In Xi Jinping’s letter to senior professors at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, he underlined to nurture more high-caliber talent with high ideals, professional competence and strong will to serve the country, who remain true to the Party. High-caliber talent with high ideals is not only the new goal of talent cultivation, but also an important guidance for morality education in the new era at universities. This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the core meaning and generating logic of high-caliber talent with high ideals. It also comes up with policy suggestions in time for cultivating high-quality talents. It’s of practical value for improving the quality of talent cultivation in universities, and is of great significance for deepening the study and implementation of Xi Jinping’s letter.
