With an increasing concern over environmental issues from home and abroad, the interdisciplinary field of Environmental Communication has become rather important. Related researches within China are mainly introductory or summary works of foreign theories, thus demanding more energy into theoretical development as well as practical undertaking. The newly published work of
Environmental Communication Pedagogy and Practice provides the latest pedagogy and practice based on the idea of transformative teaching, which prompts a transition from environmental communication teacher and learner to environmental communication practitioners. This transition from theory to practice represents the new trend and new perspective for international environmental communications and deserves to be publicized and tested.
