Abstract

Abstract

The origin of postmodernism may be traced back to North American literary criticism. In the 1960s, it seems that this term is the symbol of America. So, we can get an overall outlook of postmodernism by studying postmodernist American poetry. This paper made a careful study of postmodernist American poetry and made an attempt to answer some of the disputable questions concerning with its definition and aesthetic features.
