Morality and Law in the Context of Early Civilization: From a Comparative Perspective of the Political Culture

  • In western and Chinese early civilization, morality and law are produced in a separate, autonomically and heteronomously in essence, but in the angle of providing order and establishing regulation, both basically are harmonious and unified, mixing without same, at the same time, permeating each other and acting jointly.The compatibility of the morality and law is in common in the early civilization, especially in the legalization of morality.There exists big difference between the morality and law in western world and China.These, cultural value, personal behavior, economic form, the relation between individual and society, are the important factors causing the difference.The study of the relationship between morality and law in early civilization will provide useful reference for examining the contemporary relationship between them.
