  • The content of The Yang Siwen Met Old Friends at Yan-Mountain has frequent spatial circulation. The surreal space and the real space coexist in the text. The real space involves many different regional spaces and many space scenes, as well as specific space types. Space elements play a certain narrative function in the novel, which not only coordinates with the time narrative, but also guides the shift of narrative perspective, and becomes the carrier of narrative poetry. The public space attribute of the poem on the wall is dispelled in this novel. Space writing has a strong allegorical nature, creating an emotional atmosphere. A specific space has a special historical symbolic meaning, producing an ironic effect and strengthening the theme of the novel.
