Projecting verbal group complex with irreal semantic characters is one of approaches to representing logic-semantic relationship.Complying with the functional principle that meaning is represented by form, the present paper attempts to explore the semantic characters of projecting verbal group complex from the perspective of functional grammar.First,a brief introduction to verbal group complex is given from interdependency relationship and logic-semantic relationship, and then a general statement of relevant syntax and speech function of the projecting verbal group complex is demonstrated, after which is followed by the respective illustration on its different semantic features in verbal process and mental process; finally, the discrimination between projecting verbal complex structure and causative structure is made as well, hoping to provide some reference and implication for the study of the semantic of projecting language.
