On Index for Research Quality of Humanities and Social Science

In this paper, based on the article number published on the domestic top journals and reproduced on the Xinhua Abstract, a quality index, model for the research of social science and the humanities is built. And the medel is used to empirical evaluation of the research institutions in China. The results show that the top 10 institutions in China respectively are Renmin University, The Chinese Academy Of Social Sciences, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Nanjing University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-Sen University and Fudan University.
