Abstract

News agencies usually localize international news by way of trans-editing to make TT be in accordance with the needs of the readers and the mainstream ideology of the target culture. Changes in the choices of intertextuality from ST to TT often lead to ideological transformations. Additions or deletions of intertextality in the process of trans-editing from ST to TT based on the ideological square on the part of the translator will inevitably lead to changes in power relations and transformations in ideology from ST to TT.
