  • This paper would try to response to the question why artificial intelligence cannot replace human beings, based on the understanding of the technical essence of artificial intelligence.By using historical analysis and philosophy of technology theory as the analytical tools, such as organ projection theory, I review the development history of AI technology. The general trend is that while the research of AI deepens the imitation of human intelligence, it tends to build solutions for intelligent systems by machines and humans. In practice, the relationship between human and machine is moving from “separation” to “blending”.Therefore, human beings can not only exist as the ultimate goal imitated by artificial intelligence at the essential level, but also play the intelligent function as actors of large artificial intelligence system at the individual level.Human beings would not be replaced by artificial intelligence.
