Prior to the anti-japanese the KMT government attempted to develop national capital and tighten its economic control, depending on state-controlled economic system and economic development campaigns after the military reunification of China. However, the government did not achieve significant results. With the emergence of the financial crisis and currency reform in 1930s, the KNiT increasingly achieved financial control over the country, which consolidated the KMT's ruling status to a certain extent and established a preliminary foundation for the expansion of national capital.
