The Blizzard, written by Russian writer Vladimir Sorokin, is a post-modernist works. It is full of essential factors of post-modernism. In addition to the various post-modernist writing methods, there is also another bright spot, that cannot be ignored-anti-utopian thoughts and tendencies in the works. By the detail descriptions and the post-modernist methods the work creates a future world, showing the lack of human spiritual civilization under the highly civilized society, and describes the evil of human beings, discussing the question of survival and destruction, trying to find a way out. The work filled with disharmonious factors in the space and time, the crisis, such as no offspring and no belief, makes life difficult for the survival of mankind.
