Abstract

Abstract

Digital textbook emerged as a result of the information technology revolution, it serves as an important medium of EFL learning and teaching resources. Taking ‘English for the Humanities’—a collection of digital textbook as the corpus, the present study aims to conduct a multimodal discourse analysis in terms of the semiotic and social practice of both textbook writers and readers. It concludes with some pedagogical implications for EFL instruction.
