The Existence and Destruction of the Luban Hall in Taishan Dai Temple and the Lubanshenhui

  • From the existing information and archaeological excavations,Luban Hall in Dai Temple was founded in the Qing Emperor Kangxi years, rebuilt in Jiaqing years, and later expanded, and finally destroyed during the Republic of China, experiencing more than 200 years.During this period, Luban ritual activities, gave birth to the Lubanshenhui, and the Lubanshenhui promoted the organization and normalization of the Luban ritual activities in Dai Temple.Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, in the traditional agricultural society, the social hierarchy of bureaucrats, peasants, workers and businessmen was still deep-rooted,and craftsmen were trying to build Luban Hall which used to sacrifice industry gods in the national orthodox worship temple,in order to gain the recognition and respect for its industry and practitioners from the society.
