  • Since the middle 1990'S, the redistribution and market activities of kinds of people in China are embedded increasingly in strong ties, and the social stratification tends to be embedded in strong ties, and the transformation of class structure into "the Olive model" is delayed. One of the reasons is that while attaining great achievements, China's institutional reformation and its structural adaption are far from the terminus. Therefore, we must strengthen the building of modern society in order to get ultimately a multiple complementary institution structure made from the government, market and "society based on weak ties" in order to develop a foundation for the social stratification mechanism which facilitates the social equity relatively and the economic sustainable growth.
