A Deep Study of the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: Implementing the Concept of Green Development and Promoting the Construction of Green Universities

  • The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China shows great foresight, and profoundly expounds a series of major issues on adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era from the overall strategic situation. It also draws a grand blueprint for comprehensively advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-path to modernization, and delineates the essential requirements and important principles of Chinese-path to modernization. In particular, the ecological perspective is emphasized to show that “Chinese-path to modernization is the modernization with harmonious coexistence between human and nature”. Colleges and universities are important fields for the cultivation of talents in China. Exploring how to cultivate top-notch innovative talents with healthy and positive thoughts is the responsibility of colleges and universities. Therefore, University of Science and Technology Beijing has been focusing on cultivating people with virtue, green development, and “Five Forces Together” to advance solidly the construction of green schools, and to provide USTB wisdom and strength for new victories in comprehensively building a modern socialist country and advancing the new journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
