Abstract

Abstract

With the further development of industrialization and urbanization, as well as the sustained rapid development of our economy, the gap between China’s regional development becomes more and more obvious, even within the same region, the development of certain adjacent areas shows a great unbalanced situation. This article selects Ezhou and Huanggang which not only belong to the Wuhan “1+8” city circle but also adjoin each other as the research object, takes the economic relations between Wuhan and the two cities as bonds, and based on the theory of “Core-Periphery” and “neighborhood penetration” theoretical models, the “growth pole” theory focused on regional economic research gets extended. Based on the extended model, the article empirically analyzes the factor mobility relationships between the two cities and Wuhan respectively, figures out their own development models and explores the root causes of huge difference of regional development under different economic development patterns. Finally we come to the conclusion that factor mobility patterns of specific area determine the economic models, and different development models can affect the economic structures and development levels of various areas, which results in the great discrepancy and unbalanced development between different regions.
