CHEN Shu-kun, LIU Xuan
2020, 36(4): 7-15.
Abstract(354) PDF(5)
Abstract:
Under the framework of systemic functional grammar, Matter refers to circumstantiation of projected messages, which is realized as prepositional phrases. However, the Sydney model and Cardiff model analyze the grammatical unit differently. The paper discusses the rationality of the two models from multiple dimensions including analytical principles, stratification, the interaction between textual and experiential functions, rank shift and the related phenomena in Chinese. It is found that the concept of “matter” proposed in Sydney model is of high generality. It is advised, in light of the analysis of the Cardiff Model, that matter-phrase be further divided into two sub-categories, namely, inner matter and out matter.

ZHANG Ying
2020, 36(4): 16-23.
Abstract(424) PDF(7)
Abstract:
This paper attempts to extend Langacker's Cognitive Reference Point Principle (CRP) to the analysis of the phenomenon of English subject-verb agreement. Based on Lakoff's four structuring principles of the Idealized Cognitive Model(ICM), this paper claims that patterns of “tridimentional” cognitive reference points in the concord between subject and predicate can fall into three models: “Propositional Reference Points Model”, “Container Reference Point Model ” and “Analogical Reference Point Model”. The paper outlines the English subject-verb agreement with the cognitive reference point and its cognitive analytical model from the explaining perspective. It is the complements of subject and is established through different cognitive reference point models. By doing so, it offers a new perspective to the researches on the agreement between subject and verb.
A Contrastive Study of Five English Versions of How Can I Not Missing Her Based on Functional Linguistics
ZHAO Xue, LI Man-liang
2020, 36(4): 24-29,42.
Abstract(352) PDF(4)
Abstract:
With the increasingly deepening of cultural exchanges among various ethnic groups, there is a long way to tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture. Poetry is one of the important carriers of Chinese civilization, and poetry translation has gradually become one of the research hotspots in academia. According to the literature to date, most of the current researches analyze poetry translation critically from the literary perspective, especially regarding ancient poetry as the main research object. However, there are some research gaps such as the studies from single perspectives or with relatively subjective analysis methods. This paper attempts to make a functional comparative analysis of the five English versions of Liu Bannong's poem How Can I Not Missing Her from three aspects in systemic functional linguistics, including experiential metafunction, interpersonal metafunction and textual metafunction, so as to provide the translation studies with a new perspective and method.

ZHONG Ming-yang
2020, 36(4): 30-35.
Abstract(308) PDF(3)
Abstract:
In the era of big data, the dissemination of big data information in the field of university governance has brought about the diversification of values and intensified the ideological conflict. Big data information has made university governance transparent, and the pressure of social and market accountability has increased, which has caused the imbalance of the external governance structure of universities, and that is easy to lead to the shift of ideological dominance. Big data information makes the internal governance boundary of colleges and universities vague, which is easy to cause ideological infiltration. In order to solve the problem of Ideological Security in university governance from the perspective of big data, university governance should set up big data thinking of Ideological Security in the concept level, strengthen the leading power of Ideological Security in the system level, and carry out the construction of ideological security process in the process level, and ensure ideological security in university governance from the perspective of big data.

2020, 36(4): 36-42.
Abstract(303) PDF(27)
Abstract:

In the research of postgraduate training quality, the research on psychological stress of graduate students is a weak link in the past 20 years. The existing research in China mainly focuses on the basic concept of psychological stress of graduate students, the source of stress, empirical research and basic strategies. At the same time, there are some shortcomings of low level repetition, lack of attention to foreign achievements and insufficient tracking research. Under the background of doubleclass construction, the psychological pressure of graduate students is facing many new problems, so we need to strengthen the research of tracking, empirical research, draw lessons from foreign achievements, attach importance to cross-disciplinary research, and attach importance to the study of stress early warning mechanism of graduate students.

WANG Zhi-hui
2020, 36(4): 43-53,111.
Abstract(279) PDF(3)
Abstract:
Based on the scenario of a crisis caused by COVID-19 epidemic, this paper focused on the individual and group reactions under the field space of the crisis, took the phenomena of “stigma and discrimination”, “class disorder” and “rumor cluster behavior” as examples, through the investigation into the cause, process and result of this phenomenon, discussed the trend of people's cognition and behavior during the crisis events caused by epidemic diseases. The study found that interpersonal isolation and crisis response led to the expansion of “labels” and inaccurate crisis response measures and information release, which led to public dissatisfaction and initiate stigma and discrimination against individuals and groups in epidemic areas. Based on the seriousness of the event itself, the ambiguity of information release and the social reproduction process of group discussion after the public embedding, caused the negative tension overflow of media and public opinion, which in turn triggers panic and cluster behavior. At the same time, there was a change process of social prestige during the outbreak and prevention and control of the disease, the occupational and social prestige of medical staff was highlighted. While putting forward the corresponding countermeasures to the above problems, we found that in the post-epidemic era we should take this opportunity to conduct the enlightenment of value cognition and reshape the orientation of social prestige;we should engrave the value and significance of life demonstrated during the fight against the epidemic into the collective traumatic memory. Meanwhile, we should anchor the social representation of the Chinese nation community in face of the disaster and strengthen the national identity consciousness.

Status, Boundaries and Identity Differentiation: the Production and Reproduction of Dual Employment in State-owned Construction Enterprises
HAO Cai-hong
2020, 36(4): 61-70.
Abstract(256) PDF(6)
Abstract:
Dual employment based on informal employment such as labor dispatch and labor subcontract has become common employment in state-owned construction enterprises. Previous studies have shown the emergence, development and practice of dual employment in state-owned construction enterprises, however, the discussion on its production and reproduction mechanism is still insufficient. Based on the case study of S Group Company, a state-owned construction enterprise, it is found that after the reform and opening up, with the reform of systems of the industrial production management and the labor employment, the construction industry and the state-owned construction enterprises have successively constructed boundaries by making different workers and demarcated boundaries by making use of differences between urban and rural citizenship, thus forming a dual employment system. After that, the boundaries of dual employment were maintained through the labor management practice of identity segregation in the workplace. And then, the identity differentiation and identity reproduction between staff and laborers based on working experience and social status differentiation ensure the reproduction of the dual employment system in state-owned construction enterprises. In a word, the production and reproduction of dual employment in state-owned construction enterprises are the result of the interweaving of the state, the capital and employees. But in the process, the state, but not capital, dominates.

The Impact of Negative Externality Power in International Climate Politics
ZHAI Da-yu, XU Yue
2020, 36(4): 71-78.
Abstract(330) PDF(8)
Abstract:
In global climate governance, the process of greenhouse gas emission reduction is in a fix. From the perspective of“negative externality power”, the paper explains why the state actors have insufficient willingness and action to reduce their negative externality. It suggests that negative externality is a sort of power resource. Under certain circumstances, the actor producing negative externality is able to bargain with other actors to increase its own benefits or make itself in a favorable position. Therefore, negative externality power can contribute to one's relational power as well as structural power. In climate politics, state actors, especially big emitters, tend to use negative externality power to influence the overall negotiation process and other actors to gain benefits. Through case study, the paper argues that in international climate politics the United States mainly uses negative external power in a negative manner while the European Union is a typical example which positively uses the power.China also has more and more negative external power resources nowadays. In order to better solve the problem of negative externality, state actors should recognize the objectivity and universality of the existence of negative externality power, and use it within a reasonable limit.

LIN Jing, CHEN Lin
2020, 36(4): 79-87.
Abstract(290) PDF(2)
Abstract:
During judicial practice, internet ad-blocking has always been regarded as unfair competition behavior by the courts. The courts pay more attention to the interests of internet advertisement publishers. On the contrary, the interests of consumers and advertising shielding software providers are ignored. During the process of characterizing the internet ad-blocking behavior, the courts took an inappropriate use of interest measurement method. There are many reasons, such as a lack of the basic standard of interest measurement, the idea of interest measurement is out of date and the consideration of interest measurement is not enough. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the application of interest measurement method. We must set up more specific measurement criterion as well as balance the interests among internet advertisement publishers, consumers and ad-blocking software providers. In other words, we need take into account the development of the internet industry and the interest of consumers at the same time.

Discussing the Reasons for the Rise of Smuggling Trade in the Mid-Ming Dynasty
PAN Xun
2020, 36(4): 88-94.
Abstract(359) PDF(4)
Abstract:
Many scholars of the Ming and Qing Dynasties believe that the main reasons for the rise of smuggling trade in the mid-Ming Dynasty are land shortage, sea ban and other factors, but the structuralism economists believe that these factors are constant factors and will not lead to social and economic upheaval. In the mid-Ming Dynasty, the most important variable factor was the fiscal reform centered on the policy of paying taxes with silver. However, due to the insufficient development of market economy, the insufficient money supply and the lack of silver, the ordinary people broke through the sea ban and started a difficult journey of trading silver for paying taxes. Therefore, we believe that the policy of paying taxes with silver is the fundamental reason for the rise of smuggling trade, while the Portuguese moving eastward and the discovery of Japanese silver mines are the external cause. At the same time, it also shows that China's participation in the process of globalization in the sixteenth century was active rather than passive.

WANG Zhi-yang
2020, 36(4): 95-101.
Abstract(278) PDF(2)
Abstract:
Luo Han was one of the representative figures in the Wei and Jin Dynasties, who had made important contributions such as topography, landscape travel and Buddhist culture and other aspects. The biography of Luo Han in Jin Shu recorded three folktales about Luo Han as follows: Luo Han swallowed the colorful bird, the white finch perch on Luo Han's official residence and orchid and chrysanthemum were in full bloom to welcome his return home when he retired. The image of legends came from the development history and cultural connotation of Luo surname in the pre-Qin period. The root of its influence lied in Luo Han's ability to be a learning both sound in theory and practice, which had been put into practice and set up a new model of scholar bureaucrats' behavior.

Defining the Leading Factors of Structural Deflation in China—Based on MSVAR Cumulative Impulse Response
GUO Ying-ying
2020, 36(4): 102-111.
Abstract(313) PDF(4)
Abstract:
During 2012-2016, China's PPI sustained negative year-on-year growth, while CPI maintained a positive growth.Structural deflation features were obvious, which again appeared in 2019. Through the four aspects of cycle factor, structure factor, currency factor and international factor, this paper constructs the transformation model of Markov regional system, and finds out by the analysis of cumulative impulse response: the domestic leading factor of China's structural deflation is the transformation and upgrading of China's industry in recent years. With the improvement of residents' income level, the demand for services is increasing rapidly, and the rapid development of service industry is squeezing the industry;the international leading factor is the long-term quantitative easing policy of the United States, which leads to a large number of capital from China's financial system flow into the fixed investment field, aggravating overcapacity and restraining industrial prices. The loose capital environment will damage the social capital income and cause capital outflow after promoting the sharp rise of asset prices. The large amount of capital outflow will lead to the contraction of domestic money supply and the pressure of RMB devaluation, and the decrease of money supply will aggravate deflation.
