New Trend for Environmental Communication: From Knowledge to Action——Review of Environmental Communication Pedagogy and Practice

摘要: 随着国内外社会对环境问题日益关注,环境传播这一跨学科研究领域的学术意义与日俱增。目前国内对环境传播的研究还处于学习和总结国外理论研究的初级阶段,需要更多学者投入环境传播理论发展和环境传播实践中去。文章认为环境传播领域最新力作《环境传播:教学与实践》以转化式教学思想为指导,提供了环境传播领域最新教学法和实践途径,使环境传播教学者和学习者都转变为环境传播实践者。从理论研究转向实践行动代表了国际环境传播研究的新方向和新视角,值得在国内学术界进行推广和尝试。Abstract: With an increasing concern over environmental issues from home and abroad, the interdisciplinary field of Environmental Communication has become rather important. Related researches within China are mainly introductory or summary works of foreign theories, thus demanding more energy into theoretical development as well as practical undertaking. The newly published work of Environmental Communication Pedagogy and Practice provides the latest pedagogy and practice based on the idea of transformative teaching, which prompts a transition from environmental communication teacher and learner to environmental communication practitioners. This transition from theory to practice represents the new trend and new perspective for international environmental communications and deserves to be publicized and tested.
