Abstract: About the study of notes and comments on the Historical Records, a comprehensive system of two aspects in a book was rare before Ming Dynasty. Famous Notes and Comments of Past Generations of the Historical Records written by Cheng Yu-qing in Qing Dynasty, made innovations styles, collected the notes of ancient and modern, and particularly emphasized the notes of geographical aspects in order to facilitate the students. It has brought together 160-170 famous reviews of past generations, making notes and commentaries at the top of a page, and created a philosophy of his own. Cheng’s book is a comprehensive expression of the research on the Historical Records.
