Politeness and Impoliteness in Business Discourse

摘要: 商务沟通的人际目标默认为维护和谐和避免冲突,因而言语(不)礼貌已经成为商务话语研究的热点。商务沟通的组织目标很大程度上决定了商务话语中礼貌和不礼貌,商务话语中使用的礼貌和不礼貌策略均有积极和消极、公开和非公开之分,影响这些策略使用的主要因素包括交际者关系、强加程度、文化价值观等。商务话语中礼貌和不礼貌都是建构身份、行使权力和维护实践共同体的手段。Abstract: The interpersonal goal of business communication is by default to foster concord and avoid discord,and thus study on linguistic(im)politeness has increasingly become a hot issue in business discourse research.(Im)politeness is determined to a large extent by the organizational goal of business communication.Professionals in business adopt politeness and impoliteness strategies to construct identity,to enact power,and tomaintain community of practice.
