The Relationships between the Cardiff Grammar and Systemic Functional Linguistics

摘要: 文章主要是讨论加的夫语法与系统功能语言学之间的关系,并把加的夫语法放进韩礼德的语言学理论的大框架中审视。文章从“语法”与“语言学”的差异入手,明确加的夫语法与系统功能语言学之间的关系,接着概述了韩礼德创建的语言学理论发展所经过的四个阶段,表明韩礼德的语言理论是从一个句法理论发展成现在的普通语言学理论的。文章最后说明了加的夫语法与系统功能语言学之间的从属关系。Abstract: The aim of this paper is to examine the Cardiff Grammar in terms of its place in the general framework of M.A.K.Halliday's theory of language.The author discusses the relationships between the Cardiff Grammar and Systemic Functional Linguistics,by looking at the developmental stages of Halliday's model of language.It concludes with the suggestion that variations within a theory of language should not only be tolerated but should be welcomed.
