Abstract: This paper analyzes the inner management organization structure and operanonal mechanism of higher institutions in Canada with introduction of the history and management system of Canadian higher education. It points out that to strengthen the management of higher institutions in China, we should learn and refer to the scientificality and advancement of that in Canada. China's higher institutions should further build up the educational philosophy of “governing the institution under laws” and promote reforms on the inner management system and operational mechanism of higher institutions to fully mobilize teaching staff and students.
